TRENTON — The New Jersey Department of Health is offering free private well outreach project to select municipalities in the area. Free testing will be offered for radioactivity, nitrates and bacteria. This test is for private well owners in the following eligible areas: Deerfield Township, Fairfield Township, Hopewell Township, Stow Creek Township, Upper Deerfield Township, Elk Township, Franklin Township, Alloway Township, Oldmans Township, Pittsgrove Township, Upper Pittsgrove Township, Buena Vista Township, Folsom and Mullica Township. Testing is on a first-come, first serve basis. Registration will close when all slots are filled. No registrations will be accepted after Friday, Aug. 1. Call (609) 358-3611 for more information.
