HOLIDAY HOUSE & LIGHT TOURS will be hosted by the Cumberland County Historical Society from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11. Guests can tour different homes in the area from 2 to 6 p.m. followed by a tree lighting event at 6 p.m. The lights tour will be held 5-8 p.m. Food and festivities are at the Greenwich Fire Hall. JUST A REMINDER…that the Hopewell/ Greenwich Convenience Center is for Hopewell and Greenwich township residents only. Hours are a.m.-5 p.m. and the center is located at 539 Trench Road, Bridgeton.
Residential household trash/recyclables only. No commercial vehicles and waste are allowed.
Passes are required and can be obtained for free from the township offices. Proof of residency and vehicle registration is needed to be issued a pass.
Trash bags should be closed, all truck beds should be covered.
Only one load of trash is allowed per day. Recycling is single stream. Containers are available for free at the township offices. Remove all caps and lids. Rinse all containers of food residue.
All loads must go over the ramp for inspection except brush/leaves/grass. Brush should be no more than 3 inches in diameter and no more than 6 feet in length.
Shredded paper is trash. Don’t place in recyclables as it jams the sorting machine.
Latex paint is accepted if dry/solidified and the lid is removed for visual inspection.
Items not accepted: construction debris, tires, batteries, shingles, chemicals, oil-based paints or solvents, logs, trees or root balls.
Furniture/cabinets must be broken down. Appliances can be placed near the RED dumpster, and electronics can be placed near the shed to the right of the entry ramp, or as directed. Oil/antifreeze can be placed in the containers to the right of the exit ramp.
