THE 48TH ANNUAL Winter/Spring Antique Show will be held 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, March 5 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, March 6 at the Mauricetown Fire Hall, 9544 Noble St., Mauricetown. The event will host 40 selected dealers. Admission is $5, or $4.50 with the presentation of this week’s ad in the Reminder. Children 12 and under are free. Refreshments and seafood will be sold. DURING THE JANUARY Maurice River Township Committee meeting township engineer Cormac Morrissey provided a report stating nothing was found during a second archaeological study so the Fox Street school access can proceed. He added that the design plans are almost complete, then NJDOT approval will be needed. Possible request for bids in March or April with construction during the summer.

6TH ANNUAL Craft Show will be hosted by the Maurice River Heritage Society from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12 at the Leechester Hall, 548 Main St., Leesburg. Admission is $2. Day will feature door prizes, 50/50, bake sale and live music. There will also be a pre-order sub sale held by the Leesburg Fire Department.

FAMILY FUN DAY in Maurice River Township will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at The Grove, 590 Main St., Leesburg. The free event will feature bounce houses, sack races, tug-of-war, more games, and concessions. The event is being sponsored by the Municipal Alliance Recreation Committee and the Maurice River Township Elementary School PTA.

PARENTS OF EIGHTH GRADE students at Maurice River Township School are reminded that regardless if their child is intending on enrolling in ninth grade, they must register with Millville Public Schools. Students are considered Millville students until a request for transfer has been submitted. Area schools cannot request transfers until final grades have been submitted for the school year, typically late June. Therefore, all current eighth grade students must register and select courses for ninth grade at Millville, even if they are not planning on attending Millville High School.
