ELMER — The 24th Annual Elmer Harvest Day, presented by the Greater Elmer Area Historical Society, will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1. Festivities will be held at Centennial Park, along State Street and Broad Street, at the Greater Elmer Area Historical Society Museum, and at other locations around town.
The day will begin with the Elmer Library Harvest Day 5K Run, with registration opening at 7:30 a.m. in front of the Elmer Library, and the race starting at 8:30 a.m. Register in advance at runsignup.com Not a runner? Register for the “Mayor’s Mile” walk which will begin at 8:45 a.m.
Centennial Park, parking lot of First National Bank of Elmer and long State Street will be home to crafters, non-profits, vendors, informational booths, activities for children, and food trucks.
Live music will also be performed throughout the day and children will have the opportunity to enjoy free pony rides and a petting zoo from noon to 3 p.m. at Peggy’s Country Gifts & Antiques, 203 Elmer St. Free fire truck rides will be give by the Elmer Fire Department on Front Street.
The 24th Annual “Lew Zane Memorial Car Show” will again be held on Broad Street, hosted by the S.J. Region AACA. All cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors and special interest vehicles are welcome. Registration is FREE and will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at noon.
