A SNACK COLLECTION is being held by Deerfield Township through Thursday, July 4 at the township building, 736 Landis Ave. The goal is to fill 50 shoe boxes to ship to deployed service members. Donations of heat resistant snack items, brief notes and any shoe boxes in very good condition are sought. Call 455-3200 for more information. All food items can be dropped at township building in fully sealed original packaging.

THE BOYS TRACK and field team from Cumberland Regional High School recently competed in the Cumberland County Track Meet at Bridgeton High School. The team placed third and recorded 24 personal records. Medal winners were:

DEERFIELD TOWNSHIP is accepting old artifical holiday trees from township residents for its Whoville pop-up display this year. Residents don’t need to worry if the tree lights don’t work, or if the stand is broken. Just drop the tree off at the Deerfield Township Public Works Yard, 736 Landis Ave.

CUMBERLAND REGIONAL High School recently hosted its spring athletic signing day. Eight students committeed to play sports in college. They are: Grace Albert, Emily Bokma, D’Niyah Brisbon, Kennedy Jones, Da’Shawn McLemore, Leah Peterson, Christian Williams and Kielle Woodard.

SAVE THE DATE! Deerfield Day 2024 has been slated for noon-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3 at LoBiondo Park. The community will enjoy music, entertainment, the Rosenhayn Fire Department’s annual chicken barbecue, contests, prizes, inflatables, a trackless train, vendors, the New Jersey State Police mounted division, Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, Cumberland County 4-H and more.

CONGRATULATIONS to Cumberland Regional High School student Jade Toler who recently earned the Garden State FFA Degree, which is the highest degree the Garden State FFA can bestow on its members. Toler was recognized during the 95th NJ State FFA Convention.

CONGRATULATIONS to the newest Rosenhayn Fire Department firefighter graduates. They are: Desean Albert, Gage Brown, Sarah Huber and Jesias Morales.

A BUS TRIP to Resorts Casino will be hosted 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 26 by the Charlotte Brago Senior Center, 736 Landis Ave., Rosenhayn. The cost is $30 and participants will receive $18 in casino money. The bus will leave the center promptly at 9 and also pick up at 9:15 at 1600 N. High St., Millville (Burger King parking lot). FRESHMAN ORIENTATION will be held 2-6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Cumberland Regional High School. Deadline to register is Monday, Aug. 12. Students can tour the school, meet their peers, receive their Chromebook and enjoy games and prizes. Call 451-9400 for more information.
