Ashley Mosley, 10, of Elmer, was one of 200 deserving volunteers to receive a $1,000 scholarship award from Khol's Dept. Store. She was among 27,000 nationwide nominations.

Mosley has helped raise several thousand dollars for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation through participating in sponsored walks.

Winners were selected on initiative, creativity, leadership and generosity.
