Night Out is an evening dedicated to the support of local law enforcement and the promotion of peace throughout the city of Bridgeton.
“We invite all to attend an old-fashioned, carnival-style, fun-filled afternoon & evening of family-based activities, safety demonstrations, live entertainment, and a free community barbecue,” says a spokesperson.
Activities will include a dunk tank, moon bounce, obstacle course and various vendors. Members of the Lenni Lenape Indians and Dixon Dance Academy will entertain the crowd with dance routines in between gospel and hip-hop acts.
Cumberland County Prosecutor, Jennifer Web-McCrae and Mayor Albert Kelly are also scheduled to promote peace and unity in the community. Personnel from the county Sheriff’s Department and the local Police Athletic League will also be on hand.
In addition, Bridgeton Commons will provide each student living in the complex with a book bag full of school supplies.
Bridgeton Commons is an affordable family community managed by Ingerman Management Company.
Construction of the five-phase multi-family apartment complex began in early 2003 and was completed in April 2008. Since then, the Ingerman staff has worked to provide housing for single-parent families, families on fixed income, and two-parent families in need of housing assistance.
According to Commons spokesperson Ashlee Todd, Bridgeton Commons personnel pride themselves on providing a safe environment for all residents and supportive services to help them lead healthy, productive lives.
The Bridgeton Commons community consists of 284-units on the north end of the city including Bank, Charles, Clarke, Cohansey, East Avenue, Egret, Falcon. Mt. Vernon, North Laurel, Nichols, North, Siebel, Station Hill, West Orchard and Walnut streets or avenues.
