BRIDGETON — Specific Cumberland County government offices will be shut down for reasons of economy on Friday, July 23. And it won’t be the last time as furlough days continue throughout the summer and beyond.
Departments closed on July 23 include:
•Data Processing •Engineering
•Finance •Library •Personnel
•Planning/Development •Public Works •Purchasing •Recreation
•School Superintendent
•Taxation and •Veterans Interment.
The Freeholder Board is also subject to each unpaid furlough day.
Each of these departments will also be closed on Aug. 6 & 20, Sept. 3 and Nov. 26.
The Cooperative Extension Center will be closed on Aug. 13, Sept. 3, Oct, 1, Nov. 1, Nov. 26 and Dec. 27.
The offices of the Board of Elections, Adjuster and County Clerk will be closed on Sept. 3 and Nov. 26.
The Surrogate office will be closed on Nov. 22 & 26.
These departments remain open on all regular business days:
Aging & Disabled, Alcoholism & Drug Abuse, Emergency 911 Communications, Juvenile Detention Center, Health, Corrections, Employment & Training, Maintenance, Manor Nursing Home, Prosecutor and Sheriff.
