MILLVILLE PUBLIC Library, 210 Buck St., will be hosting the following events:

Valentine Craft: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6;

Board of Trustees: 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9.

GREATER MILLVILLE Chamber of Commerce February luncheon is 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the Heritage House. Elizabeth A. Ryan, Esq., president and CEO of the Princeton-based New Jersey Hospital Association, will be the speaker. She will talk about the status of health care reform and other issues that impact patient care. Cost is $20 at the door. Reservations are recommended by Monday, Feb. 8. Call 825-2600.

WOMAN’S CLUB of Millville, Third and E streets, is hosting fun events this month. A chocolate tasting party scheduled for 2 p.m. Feb. 6 and then rescheduled for the same time Saturday, Feb. 13 has now been canccelled. A dessert meeting will be held 1 p.m. Feb. 11. Card party luncheon is scheduled for noon Feb. 25 and costs $12. Call Donna at 765-9203 or Judy at 825-7887.

5TH ANNUAL spelling bee is 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 11 at Silver Run School. Watch your favorite team compete for the spelling bee trophy. The event, sponsored by the Millville Public Library, is free. Snow date is Feb. 18.

MILLVILLE GIRLS softball 2010 registration is 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturdays the entire month of February at the Rob Shannon Complex, Cedarville Road. It’s open to girls ages 5-16. Millville, Lawrence Township, Commercial Township and Maurice River Township residents are eligible to play. Call 327-2117.

DR. EDWARD H. SALMON, of Millville, a former state utility regulator, was elected to his ninth term as president of the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ Commissioners Emeritus organization.

In addition, Salmon served on the board of directors for the National Regulatory Research Institute and National Society of Rate of Return Analysts. Prior to his regulatory career, Salmon spent 26 years in government as a former mayor of Millville, Cumberland County freeholder director, N.J. Assemblyman and a member of the governor’s cabinet.

MILLVILLE JR. BABE RUTH will conduct registration for the upcoming baseball season for youth ages 4-6 for tee ball, 7-9 for minors and 10-12 for majors. Participation is open to youth who reside in Millville, Vineland area as far as Grant Avenue. Sign ups are at Ware Avenue behind City Hall and at Kates Boulevard. Registration fee is $50. NABB LESLIE American Legion Post 82 January 50/50 drawing paid $521 to the lucky winner. The monthly drawing benefits charities of the Post Benevolent Fund. Tickets are available from post members, Pete Spizzica’s Barber Shop, The Incredible Bulk, Steelman Photographics and at the Post home, 220 Buck St. Drawing is held the last Tuesday of the month.

MILLVILLE BABE RUTH League will be conducting registration for the upcoming spring baseball season for youth who reside in Millville at the Ware Avenue complex during the following times:

6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5;

9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb.. 6;

6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12;

9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb.. 13;

6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19;

9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb.. 20;

6-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26;

9 a.m.-noon Saturday, Feb.. 27;

6-8 p.m. Friday, March 5;

9 a.m.-noon Saturday, March 6.

If this is your first season in the league bring a copy of your birth certificate. Registration is $50.
