Michael Bertolini, 89, of Bridgeton is congratulated for winning first place in his age category of the Bone Run 5K by Chet Kalet­kowski, president and CEO of South Jersey Healthcare and event chairwoman Colleen Bonner. The competition was Oct. 31 at Parvin State Park, Pittsgrove. Bertolini has participated in more than 700 races in New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania—covering more than 64,000 miles in his career. He is a national record holder for the half marathon.The 2009 Bone Run & Walk was sponsored by South Jersey Healthcare along with the Rehabilitation Foundation of South Jersey to advocate osteoporosis prevention and promote bone health awareness.
