Ahoy Mateys! Meerwald Public Sails Have Returned

PORT NORRIS — New Jersey’s official tall ship the historic schooner AJ Meerwald is back on the water hosting public sails. Guests can experience history by helping the crew hoist the sails, and learn about sailing and the local environment.

Tickets are $20 for children ages up to 16 years old and for seniors 65 & older for the 10 a.m. sails, and $30 for adults. Tickets are $30 for children ages up to 16 years old and for seniors 65 & older for the 1:30 and 5 p.m., sails, and $40 for adults. All sail tickets also include entry to the Delaware Bay Museum for a self-guided tour through a variety of exhibits celebrating the culture and heritage of the Bayshore region. Guided tours are available for an additional $5 per person. Note: all passengers and crew will be required to wear masks while on the Bayshore Center at Bivalve property and aboard the AJ Meerwald. Sail duration is approximately two hours. Sail times are: 10 a.m.-noon, Thursday-Sunday through Aug. 30, 1:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday-Sunday through Aug. 30, and 5-7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday through Aug. 30.
