MILLVILLE — The Cumberland County Women’s Hall of Fame is seeking nominations of accomplished women to be honored by the Hall at its 12th annual induction ceremony next spring.

Anyone can nominate outstanding women who have made significant contributions to a profession, the community and/or women’s issues. Any woman selected for the award must be or have been an innovator and a role model, a native of Cumberland County or employed in the county or have made her contributions here. The deadline for nominations is Nov. 30, and winners will be announced in January. The induction ceremony will be in April, 2020. To request a nomination form, contact Louise Bertacchi at or 825-5929 or Kim Litchendorf at Klitchendorf@cumber or 453-0762. Nominators must provide information on the candidate’s ties to Cumberland County, her accomplishments, and a biography with related information. Nominators are encouraged to start the process early, as the more information the judges have, the better a nominee’s chances.

In April, three women were inducted at the hall’s annual gala ceremony, bringing to 49 the number who have been honored since the Hall was founded in 2009.

Winners are selected by the Nominations Committee of the Hall of Fame. For more information call Bertacchi at 825-5929.
