It is safe to say we have had enough with the summer of 2020. Not only did we commonly experience the three “H’s”: hazy, hot and humid, but we also were treated to above average rainfall.

And some of that deluge can be attributed to tropical storm Isaias which passed through the area during the first week of August. Rainfall amounts varied, but we all felt the effects of the wind...some of us losing power for a few days.

Looking forward, this year’s autumnal equinox arrives at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22. This marks the second of two times a year when day and night are of about equal length, but more significantly, marks the beginning of autumn in the northern hemisphere.
