Salem County’s Finn’s Point National Cemetery in Pennsville Township has again been selected by WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA as one of the locations to participate in the simultaneous wreath-laying ceremony.
There are presently over 600 individual grave sites dating back to the 1700’s to the present, and a mass grave of 2,400 Confederate Soldiers, at Finn’s Point National Cemetery. The goal is to honor and decorate all 600 individual grave sites and the mass grave site of the 2,400 Confederate Soldiers.
WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA, a non-profit corporation (501c-3 No. 20-8362270) of Columbia Falls, Maine, and the Oak Tree Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, will donate one free holiday wreath for every two wreaths that are sponsored. In order to decorate the total number of 600 individual grave sites, we will need to send a total of $6,000 to WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA, and with your contribution of $30 to sponsor three beautiful balsam wreaths, or $15 to sponsor one wreath, we hope to realize that goal.
If you would like to be a sponsor of the tax-deductible holiday veterans wreaths, please send your check as soon as possible, and no later than November 20, 2013, payable to WREATHS ACROSS AMERICA, to Helen Fite Petrin, Esq. Chaplain, Daughters of the American Revolution, 51 Market Street, Salem, NJ 08079, or call 856-935-4950 for information.
Everyone is welcome.
