BRIDGETON — The Cumberland County Women’s Hall of Fame is seeking nominations of accomplished women to be honored by the Hall at its 10th annual induction ceremony next spring.

Anyone can nominate outstanding women who have made significant contributions to a profession, the community and/or women’s issues. Any woman selected for the award must be or have been an innovator and a role model. She must be a native of Cumberland County or be employed in the county or have made her contributions here. The deadline for nominations is Thursday, Nov. 30, and winners will be announced in January. The induction ceremony will be held Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Merighi’s Savoy Inn.

The Hall was founded in 2007 and held its first annual induction in spring 2009. Since then, 43 women have been voted into the Hall of Fame.

To request a nomination form, contact Louise Bertacchi at or 825-5929 or Kim Litchendorf at or 453-0762. Nominators must provide information on the candidate’s ties to Cumberland County, her accomplishments, and a biography with related information. Nominators are encouraged to start the process early, as the more information the judges have, the better a nominee’s chances.

Winners will be selected by the Nominations Committee of the Hall of Fame. For more information call Louise Bertacchi, Hall Founder and President of the Board of Directors, at 825-5929.
