EDGARTON CHRISTIAN ACADEMY in Newfield, opened its doors on Sept. 6 for its sixth year educating children of Newfield and surrounding communities. Traditionally the opening of school starts with a Pray Service on the front lawn but Dr. Alimenti moved it to the school cafeteria due to the morning rain. School Board President Leo Hagerty welcomed a room full of students, staff, parents and grandparents. Pictured are 5th grade students (left front) Mario St. John, Lauren Terista, Drew Terista, Angelina Rodriguez (right side back to front) Joseph Duross, Giavonni Lugo, Kyle Ingemi, Olivia Rodgers and Kylee Black welcoming their new classmate Arabella Lamkin.
