Several students from Vineland Public Schools were among the winners in the

The Landis Sewerage Authority 2011 Earth Day Poster Contest.

The group included Shayanna Negron of Rossi Intermediate School, Ocia

Gates from Landis Middle School and Luizette Cubi of Wallace Middle School.

The other winners were Matthew Camardo, from St. Mary's School, Ronald

Brown of Creative Achievement Academy, and Gabriela Leone from Bishop Schad

Regional School.

This is the 17th year that LSA has held an Earth Day poster contest to

encourage middle school children to become more aware of our environment.

The focus of the contest is the water environment.

With this year's six recipients, LSA has now awarded 86 $50 U.S. Savings

Bonds to winners in the annual poster contest.

Assisting with the ceremony announcing the winners were Joseph Reuben,

LSA Chairman, and Dennis Palmer, LSA Executive Director.
