Seventh and Eighth grade students from Ellison School in Vineland recently took their gym class outside for the day by skiing the trails of Blue Mountain in Palmerton, Pa. “Skiing is not only a great workout, but a lot of fun and a tremendous confidence builder,” said Mike Mayhew, Ellison’s physical education and health teacher. “Many of the students are brand new to skiing so they start out a little nervous. We work with each of them and by the end of the day, they really get the hang of it. We are always proud of them for giving it their all.” Above, the entire crew - students, teachers and parent volunteers - poses for a photo prior to boarding the bus home.
