BRIDGETON — The Cumberland County Department of Health is notifying residents that the flu clinic schedule for 2019 will be postponed due to manufacturer delays. Currently, the timeline should not be impacted by more than a few weeks. The World Health Organization made a late recommendation to have an additional strain included in this year’s vaccine which caused the delay, according to officials.

“Our clinic schedule will be ready for the public soon – with many of our larger, easily-accessible clinics taking place in November,” said Megan Sheppard, health officer of the Cumberland County Department of Health. In addition to the vaccine, residents are reminded to wash their hands, get a good night’s sleep and eat a balanced healthy diet. Visit the department’s website
