The National Alliance on Mental Illness Cumberland County Chapter will hold its monthly meeting 7-9 p.m. Monday, Oct. 21 at Chestnut Assembly of God, 2554 E. Chestnut Ave. The guest speaker will be Laurence Gevirtz, vice president of Acute Care Services at Twin Oaks Community Services. He will speak about the behavioral health programs offered by the facility, including the Early Intervention Support Services program. Chapter meetings take place on the third Monday of each month, throughout the year, at that time and location. NAMI Cumberland County is a support, education, and advocacy group serving consumers of mental health services, as well as the families and friends of persons affected by a serious mental illness.
