Meals on Wheels’ Giant Pumpkin Carve marks its 17th year at the Salem County Fairgrounds from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28. Proceeds help Meals on Wheels provide hot meals to elderly and disabled homebound residents of Salem County. Attracting more than 4,000 attendees from the Delaware Valley, the event has become an area tradition celebrating the fall season in a fun, safe way, and encouraging family participation. Carvers should pre-register by contacting Meals on Wheels at 935-3663. Admission is $7 and the event is free for children 5 and under. Free hayrides, a straw maze, bounce house, and a variety of children’s crafts and activities are planned. A costume contest will be held for children 12 and under. In addition, a fall farmers market will be held.
