Salem Community College will offer training that prepares individuals to work as substitute teachers in New Jersey school districts. SCC’s Substitute Teacher Training Seminar will run 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 in Room CON 206, Contini Hall, 460 Hollywood Ave. The seminar includes classroom management, instructional techniques and lesson plans, as well as the state substitute teacher certification process. The program also serves as a refresher for substitute teachers currently employed by local school districts. Participants must have earned a minimum of 60 college credits. The seminar costs $99.
