The National Alliance on Mental Illness Cumberland County Chapter will hold a special holiday dinner party at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec. 17 at the Chestnut Assembly of God, 2554 E. Chestnut Ave. (Note the change from the regular starting time.) This will take the place of the monthly support group meeting. This holiday event, open to family members/caretakers and consumers, will be an opportunity for members and anyone else interested in NAMI to find out more about the organization and to enjoy fellowship in a friendly, festive atmosphere. Those interested in attending are asked to bring a side dish of their choice. Chapter meetings take place on the third Monday of each month, throughout the year, at that time and location. NAMI Cumberland County is a support, education, and advocacy group serving consumers of mental health services, as well as the families and friends of persons affected by a serious mental illness.
